We took a 25 euro taxi to Sahagun and asked the cab driver to drop us off the clinic. Susan has tendonitis and I have a muscle strain. The doctor advised us both to rest and suggested I get a new knee brace.
Funny to see this group we have been hanging out with for dinners the last week. As I was typing this up waiting for our alburgue to open, the crew, Val from England, Peter and Erik who are brothers from Denmark, one lives in England and the other owns a small hotel in Geneva and Chris and Jeff from Colorado came strutting down the street. We first met Val, Peter and Erik at the bed and breakfast El Molina in Hontanas and Jeff and Chris a few days later.
This was this morning's sunrise.
The quiet Benedictine monastery garden we are staying at. 10 euros each in a bedroom for 4 with your own bathroom, 10 euros for dinner and 5 euros for breakfast.
Am not too happy about not walking today. Although the last km. tends to be very tiring, I do love the walk especially the early morning walk before the sun gets too hot. The weather since we started walking the Meseta has been ideal, sometimes cloudy or windy and hasn't been too hot.
