Day 28. Carrion de Los Condes to Calzadilla de la Cueza. 17 km.

Since I did not walk yesterday, I was eager to get going today.  The trail could not get flatter.  It is just an endless road where you can look forward or back and just see the road going forever.  It was cloudy and perfect for walking.  From our Brierly book we knew there would be no towns or water fountains to  stop at. We were stocked up with food and water which made my pack heavier and me a little grumpier.  Somehow I could not get the right adjustment for my pack and it was pulling on my left shoulder.  Not until after lunch and we drank the juice, ate the yogurt, ate the ham and cheese sandwiches and some nuts did my pack lighten up.

An unexpected rest stop, ate our packed  lunch and removed our shoes and socks. With Pat and Susan from Canada.

I started using my iPod after Burgos at the Meseta to break up the monotony of the long walks on unshaded paths that go on forever.  I listened to John Legend and decided that my Camino message today was to love Dick's "perfect inperfections".😍😍😍😍

There is always a surprise at the Camino when you least expect it.  This one and only wild flower bush in bloom amongst the brown landscape was a beautiful sight!
