Day 19. Viloria to Belorada. 8.5 km.

Our communal meal last night was very interesting.  The very small hostel is owned by Acacio from Brazil and Orietta from Venice, Italy.  There were 4 Americans, 2 Mexicans, one Polish and one Italian Pilgrims.  There was a Brazilian volunteer and our hosts. Our hosts walked the camino, met during their walk and returned to live in the camino.

The meal was excellent.  We started with a potatoe and squash soap, then a mix salad and then a lentil soup with plenty of chorizo served on rice.  The host asked everyone their reason for walking the camino and we had a nice discussion about how everyone felt about their experience.  We learned the house we were at was over 200 years old.  When the hostel owner bougth it, the walls were still of straw and mud.  They cleaned it up and cemented it.  The part we slept in was were the animals slept.

We had a short walk today to come to this alburgue because it had a swimming pool.

The garden is ideal and these pilgrims are taking advantage of the nice yard with some yoga poses.
