Marylou, Marie, Dick, and I left our auberge before 8 a.m. I had my backpack shipped and carried a lighter pack with water and rain gear in case the weather turned. The walk was very difficult along steep hills, but the scenery was picturesque pastoral views. What a feeling of great satisfaction I felt. A major accomplishment for me. The ascent was 700 meters, or 2,100 feet.
We are blown away by the many countries represented in the Camino. Our count is 21 countries represented in the Camino from young people to retirees.
