Jessie wanted us to go to the farmers market and the Latin bar before we left. As soon as we got back from Muxia on Friday at noon to get the car back, we walked to the farmers market. Since we were leaving the next day we could not buy anything. From the market we bought some camino shirts and little souvenirs and then I found a lovely artisan shop that sold hand made jewelry and asked Dick to help me choose. He bought me a pendant. It is a Camimo shell design. It was designed and created by a local artisan. Dick insisted on buying the matching earrings too. It is exquisite.
That evening we had dinner at the Latino Bar. We took the bus and met a nice student from Khazakistan working on her PhD In Santiago. At the bar we sat next to a local couple and we chatted with them for a long time. Our tapas and wine were great.
Our hotel in Santiago was the Hotel Altair and the staff was great. It is a boutique hotel, very moden and trendy. We had a very comfortable stay here because of the great staff.
