Day 44. A rest dayfor Dick and I in Rectoral de Goian

Dick was happy not to walk today and had his clothes washed so I included mine too.  My knee was not improving so I thought this was a good time to go to the clinic again and have my knees checked and have Dick go with me.  Javier also was going to give us a ride.  

A young lady doctor saw me who did not speak English.  She went out of the room and came back with 4 other doctors.  It was bizarre.  A young male doctor spoke English and he continued with checking my knee.  Same as always, rest, put some cream and get a more rigid brace.  I also forgot my passport which they needed to see me as I believe if you are a foreigner pilgrim, doctors visit are free. Javier called home for Raquel to dig out my passport and they sent their niece Veronica to bring my passport.  She also stayed to bring us home as Javier had to pick up his hotel guests.

The doctors suggested I go to the medical supply store to get the braces.  It really pissed me off to try the rigid long brace but they had no other.  We returned to the doctor to show him what we got to approve it and he did.  So we went back to pay for it at the medical store and was shocked it was 86 euros!  Yikes!
