Fatima

We are on the bus to Fatima from Porto and we are almost there. The  scenery is beautiful, green country sides.  I will be praying for world peace, good elections both in the US and the Philippines.  Of course I will be praying for family and friends.

 

When we arrived in Fatima mass was going on and you could hear church music and singing from the loud speakers.  I was surprised by how emotional I got.  It was very touching to visit such a sacred place.  In spite of the big crowd, it was very silent and a few were on their knees approaching the altar of the Virgin of Fatima.  We bought candles to throw on the open fire as well as wrote our prayers and threw them into the fire.
